Expert analysis
Ideacto team are interactive and information architecture designers, usability analysts, sociologists, culture analyst, designers and e-business specialists. Analysing the websites we use complementary methods such as:
- heuristic analysis
- cognitive walkthrough
- comparative analysis
Individual user interview
The interviews are the most basic and the most important method of researching and improving the product usability. The research is carried out with 3-12 persons from a set target group. This number of participants provides with gathering the sufficient amount of opinions about website usability and of impressions. During such test we not only interview the users but also observe their behaviour, the way of realizing the key function website scripts.
Focus Group Interview
In the process of designing a product we also use focus group interview which are ideal to assess the ideas, test the conceptions and create new ideas.
The group of respondents, from two (dyad) to several people discuss the issues according to a script – the aim of the discussion is to create a group synergy.
Eye Tracking
Eye Tracking test enables to get to know which elements of the website in what order and how long are registered by a user. Comparing the data from the eye tracking test with the website layout we can see how the website is perceived.
These materials show how a user move on the following pages of the website and what a user look at on each page. Unfortunately, the interpretation of the data is very difficult and its results have to be compared with results of other users.
